A paradise for lovers of nature, the sea and relaxation

The proximity of Aprilia Marittima to numerous attractions makes it the ideal destination for a complete holiday.

Nature and sea lovers can easily reach, both by car and by bicycle, the enchanting beaches of Lignano Sabbiadoro and immerse yourself in their beauty.

The location also offers various opportunities for recreation and relaxation. Visitors can enjoy long walks along the tree-lined avenues, explore the many cycle routes in the area, or simply relax in one of the many cafes and restaurants offering local specialties and themed evenings.

The Marano Lagoon, a heritage of natural beauty

Enclosed between the last coastal point of Lignano Sabbiadoro and the Grado Lagoon, the Marano Lagoon is an area of extraordinary scenic beauty, renowned for its unique flora and fauna and of great naturalistic value. A peculiar characteristic of the lagoon are the casoni, simple houses built with reeds and wood, which give this place a particular charm.

The Grado Lagoon, a refuge for wildlife

The Grado Lagoon extends from Fossalon di Grado to the island of Anfora, at the mouth of the Ausa and Corno rivers. With a surface area of approximately 90 square kilometers, the lagoon is divided into two sectors: the eastern one (palù de sora) and the western one (palù de soto), separated by a dam over which runs the road that connects Grado to the mainland. To the west, the lagoon connects with the Marano Lagoon.

This habitat represents the first major resting area for migratory birds from central and northern Europe, and is populated by a large variety of avian species, making it an unmissable place for birdwatchers.
